Smile? Sword?
Charles Reade is a great English novelist and dramatist during his age. His masterpieces remained through ages. He’s the author of the famous quote “Beauty is power; a smile is its sword”. It sounds complicated but it really makes good sense at all. Beauty really grants special powers to the one possessing such blessing. I was just confused of what the second phrase really means.
